It has also introduced a 10-year youth-led agricultural strategy to promote innovation, job creation, and commercial farming.
Recognition for championing women empowerment, food security and national development. As Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has promoted agricultural empowerment through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). The initiative supports women and young people by distributing improved seeds, fertilizers, farm tools, poultry chicks, and other agricultural inputs to encourage food production and self-reliance. It also provides grants, training, and skills development to help women and youth establish and expand agribusinesses.
Award for strategic leadership in advancing agricultural productivity and innovation. Under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has prioritized the inclusion of youths and women in Nigeria's agricultural transformation. The Ministry has promoted youth participation through agribusiness dialogues, improved access to agricultural finance, mechanization, climate-smart farming, and value-chain development to create jobs and strengthen food security.

Nyesom Wike's agricultural achievements have centered on strengthening food security and supporting farmers in the Federal Capital Territory. His administration introduced a 50% fertilizer subsidy, distributed agricultural inputs and equipment, facilitated access to farmland for genuine farmers, and improved rural road infrastructure to ease the transportation of farm produce. These initiatives, alongside efforts to attract agricultural partnerships and investment, have helped boost agricultural productivity and enhance the livelihoods of farmers across the FCT.

International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has made significant contributions to agriculture in Africa by developing improved crop varieties, promoting sustainable farming practices, and strengthening food security. Its research has helped farmers increase productivity in crops such as cassava, maize, yam, soybean, and banana through climate-smart technologies, pest and disease management, and better farming systems. IITA has also empowered millions of farmers through training, youth agribusiness programs, digital agriculture solutions, and partnerships with governments, private organizations, and development agencies.
